OceanPixel at the Mindanao Blue Economy Forum 2024: Advancing Sustainable Marine Resources

OceanPixel was honored to partner with the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA), the Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners, Inc. (PIEP), and the PIEP Cebu Chapter Inc. to host the Mindanao Blue Economy Forum 2024. This landmark event, held on December 11 at Acacia Hotel, Davao City, was a pivotal moment for stakeholders working toward the sustainable development of Mindanao's marine and coastal resources. 1️⃣ Collaborative Partnerships
The forum united diverse stakeholders, from government agencies and industry experts to educational institutions like the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP). OceanPixel proudly took part in these discussions, advocating for responsible and innovative solutions to develop Mindanao's Blue Economy.


2️⃣ Mindanao Blue Economy Stocktake Report
The launch of the Mindanao Blue Economy Stocktake Report provided crucial insights into the region’s vast marine and coastal resources. The report highlighted strategies for sustainable growth, with an emphasis on leveraging data and innovations to enhance economic resilience.

3️⃣ Signing of the MOU with USTP
A key outcome of the forum was the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between OceanPixel and USTP, formalizing our partnership to drive research and innovation in sustainable marine development.
